About Carly
Hello! My name is Carly and I’m super excited to bring Tappy Toes, baby and toddler, dance classes to the Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham areas - I can’t wait to get you and your little ones moving and grooving!
As a child I always loved to dance, taking ballet and tap for some years, but my fondest memories of dancing as a child are freestyling with my friends, spending hours and hours choreographing our own routines and performing them to whoever would watch! Whenever we heard music we’d all start to groove!
My career for the past 18 years has been a primary school teacher, teaching children across all primary age phases. I’m honoured to have spent such a long time in a fantastic and rewarding career, however with two small children, I decided it was time to find a better work/life balance. Something that would allow me to continue using my teaching experience and working with awesome little people, whilst spending more time with my own amazing family. I would love to say that I found Tappy Toes, but honestly, I believe it found me! I stumbled across it whilst scrolling on Facebook one day and I was hooked by the name, I mean who wouldn’t want to dance at Tappy Toes! And the rest is history!
So please take a look at my timetable and come and join us. I can’t wait to see the smiles on your beautiful childrens’ faces when they are having a dance and a wiggle, whilst working on their social skills, developing coordination and so much more. See you there!
