Meet Emma

Hi I’m Emma and I am delighted to be a part of the Tappy Toes team!

When I was a young girl I had ballet lessons for a very short time and then moved on to gymnastics.  I am musical and play the violin.  During my later years at school I studied performing arts which I loved and one of my favourite elements was dance.

I went on to qualify as a primary school teacher and have been working with children for over 20 years.  As part of my career as a teacher, I have prepared children for a wide variety of performances.  The children whom I have taught have taken part in class assemblies and it is always inevitable that I sneak in some form of dance ranging from ballet, country dance, street dance to anything goes!

I have also run extra curricular dance clubs and prepared children for various local performances.  Preparing and teaching children to dance is often the highlight of my week.  Seeing their enjoyment of movement, working together, making progress and the pride on their faces after a performance fills me with joy.

As an adult I was lucky enough to start dance classes as a hobby and took part in shows.

I’ve always had an enthusiasm to dance and love to share this with others.  When your child reaches those milestones and learns something new on their journey, I’m there with them (and you) celebrating their achievements!

I’d love you to join me for Tappy Toes dance classes so that you and you little one can share in the joy of dance!
