Sling Tots: Babywearing Dance and Movement Classes for Parents and Babies
Becoming a parent is one of life’s most joyful experiences — but the early weeks and months can also feel isolating, exhausting and overwhelming. At Tappy Toes, we believe parents deserve support, connection and opportunities to feel like themselves again. After 20 years of teaching your babies and toddlers, we've now created something especially for you grown ups! We’re so excited to introduce Sling Tots, our brand-new babywearing dance and movement class designed especially for parents with young babies.
Sling Tots combines gentle movement, music and community to create a welcoming space where parents can exercise while keeping their baby safely snuggled in a sling or carrier. It’s a fun and uplifting way to move your body, bond with your baby and meet other parents going through the same stage of life.
What Is a Babywearing Dance Class?
A babywearing dance class allows parents to take part in light exercise and simple dance routines while their baby is carried securely in a sling or baby carrier. Babies face in towards their parent, keeping them safe, comfortable and close.
The classes are carefully designed to be postnatal-friendly, making them suitable for parents who have had their 6-week postnatal check (12 weeks after a C-Section) and been cleared to exercise.
Each Sling Tots class includes:

- Gentle warm-up and mobility exercises

- Simple dance-inspired routines

- Strength and stability movements

- Music to lift your mood and boost energy

- Time to socialise and connect with other parents
Classes are 45 minutes long, run as a 6-week course, and cost £10 per class (£60 for the full block).

Sling Tots Pilot Launch Locations
We are thrilled to be pilot launching Sling Tots from the week beginning 13th April in the following locations:

Exact class days may vary slightly depending on the venue, so please check with your local Tappy Toes teacher for details in your area.
Following the pilot phase, we plan to expand Sling Tots to more locations across the UK from September.
