Baby and Toddler classes have arrived in Balham!
Hi there, I’m Emma and I’ll be launching brand new Tappy Toes baby and toddler dance classes in Balham from Friday 23rd April 2021. I am a local Balham mum who has always lived in the area.
Having worked in the city for many years, I needed a change. I found Tappy Toes and decided to become a Tappy Toes dance Franchise owner.
I have a 6 year old, and a boy of 15 months and this will allow me to spend more time with them. Having a sizeable age gap between my two, I think I'd forgotten how full on it is having a toddler running around, and this is another reason that I was drawn to Tappy Toes. Getting your little one into dance at a young age, has so many benefits. Not least that it's a really active and healthy habit to have, but research has shown that those who attend dance classes in their early years are much more likely to continue an active hobby into adult hood. Wouldn't it be lovely to see some of my little Tappy Toe-ers still dancing when they're 16!
Covid has been very difficult in so many ways, but one of the positives for me, is that it has re-affirmed how spending time and learning together can be fun.
I am so very excited and cannot wait to see your little ones learn to dance and love dancing as much as I do. The joy that it will bring to you all as you watch your little ones grow and become more confident with their own movement. Children can also benefit from better posture, musicality, rhythm, co-ordination and creativity.
Community
It’s so great to contribute to the local community and offer classes to mums that need something fun to do with their babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers! I shall be branching out a little further with classes starting, not just in Balham, but in Tooting, Streatham, Clapham and Wandsworth, so keep an eye on my page for more news on this.
I am so excited to start my new dance classes, I am most looking forward to seeing little imaginations grow! It’s all about having fun too, I can’t wait to show you the Wiggly Woo!
Dance Classes
Our classes are suitable for both boys and girls from ages 6 months to 5 years. What really attracted me to Tappy Toes was seeing the suitability of the class for both male and female dancers. Every class has music and themes that work for both genders, and it doesn't feel all frilly and girly!
The children can be stomping around like elephants, Dinosaurs, monsters or pirates one minute, and then floating around like a Butterfly or fairy the next. There really is something for every personality type in each class.
