Tappy Toes was born from a passion for dance and early years education. When I created my first ever lesson plan, around 20 years ago, my only intention was to pass on my love and knowledge of dance, to babies and pre-schoolers. There wasn't an option for under 3 year olds to learn to dance back then!
Fast forward 20 years and we are now an established and growing franchise. Tappy Toes was never motivated by money or becoming a big business. However, when I was pregnant with my first child I realised that it offered a fantastic work/life balance and by franchising I could provide that to others. AND deliver our fantastic classes to families further afield.
The one thing I didn't want to lose was the Tappy Toes magic. Every class is full of fun and joy. That is the most important thing about our classes- JOY! Watching our mini dancers floating around the room and seeing their progress each week is our WHY.
This forms the ethos of how I choose potential franchisees. Every Tappy Toes franchisee is passionate about delivering high quality and engaging lessons each and every class. We all LOVE what we do!

We are absolutely delighted to have been picked as finalists in the Virtual Franchising Awards sponsored by Barclays Bank!
We made the finals in TWO categories. Best Adaptation to Change and Best Franchisee Support.
We are so thrilled that Tappy Toes has been recognised in the franchising world as being a forward thinking company, who managed to pivot during this year's pandemic. We are really proud of all that we have achieved this year.
Our franchisees are still thriving and delivering their amazing classes, not just in person, but also online. We've introduced our fabulous props bags and our Tappy Teds to help generate revenue for our franchisees, and basically not just kept afloat but continued to grow over the last 9 months.
Franchisee Support
We are also honoured to be recognised as having provided strong support to our franchisees throughout this tough period. This support has included regular zoom training, adapted lesson plans so that they could deliver classes online, and freezing our royalty payments for the majority of this year, to help keep their businesses going!
It has been a crazy year, but we couldn't be prouder of how far we have come, and how well our franchisees have coped with the change and disruption.

We are up against some very tough competition, so we'll have to wait and see, but we are delighted to be named amongst some of the best franchises in the UK!
