My 1st Term at Tappy Toes
No Joy Like Dancing
Wow! It’s already been a whole term? Hasn’t it flown by! I have had so much fun and enjoyed every class. The weather may have been chilly and miserable at times, but we’ve definitely been smiling and warming up in class! I’ve even gone down a size in jeans!
I love that no matter what mood I wake up in by the time I’ve got my props set up and the music playing, I feel 100% better and excited to start dancing with your little ones. There is no better feeling than the joy when dancing! I know that you (the grown ups) in class enjoy seeing your little ones dance with big smiles too!
Excited For The Future
I was nervous in starting classes as I wasn’t sure anyone would come! But it has been lovely meeting so many families for trials and having lots of you sign up for the rest of the term and this term too. Knowing that the love and knowledge of Tappy Toes can only grow in Brentwood, Hornchurch and Upminster makes me excited to see what the future holds for my little business!
Lockdown Life
It is a pleasure and an honour to watch your little ones develop and grow each week. Seeing them crawl or take a step in Teeny Toes. Jump and twirl for the first time in Toddle Toes or suggest something imaginative on our magic carpet journey in Tots Toes.
I have seen this with Oscar, my own 2.5yr old, watching him learn to stretch up onto his tiptoes and start twirling. I was full of pride as a mum and teacher. Now, whenever we have music on at home, he’s dancing- to anything and everything! Seeing him have so much fun has been lovely for me after feeling he’d missed out on so much having lived most of his life in lockdowns.
I know, speaking to parents too, I’m not the only one who has seen a change in their child since starting at Tappy Toes. From improvements in behaviour to coping with new social situations. It is a privilege to have something to do with all the benefits of our dance classes beyond the physical.
My New Tetris Skills
I’ve got the packing of props down to a fine art. It’s taken a while to work out how to fit everything in the boot of my car! I look forward to our next holiday to use my new Tetris skills to pack a suitcase to fit even more in. Of course I’ll need an extra pair of shoes or 2. I think my favourite prop so far has been the long ribbons or the light-up batons and of course the bubbles we have each week. I’m sure the bubbles are a firm favourite with most of the dancers and a few adults too. No matter what we’re doing when the bubbles start we’re all trying to pop them as quickly as possible!
I feel lucky
I feel lucky to have found such wonderful classes to teach and a lovely company to join. The Tappy Toes franchise is a supportive and helpful network of small business owners and we all share our ideas to make our classes even more special for our dancers.
