Lichfield Franchise Set to Open!
Hi. I’m Emma and I’m one of the newest Tappy Toes franchisees. I will be bringing Tappy Toes dance classes to my home town of Lichfield. I'll also be running classes in Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Burton on Trent – how exciting!
Striking a Work/ Life Balance
Covid 19 has changed many things for many people. After running my own successful businesses in the Events industry for the past 15 years, the impact of Covid 19 in this sector unfortunately brought things to a grinding halt. This, coupled with the birth of my (now 2 yr old) daughter, Isabelle Ivy, and the demands of family life led me to think more carefully about how to strike that ‘work/lifestyle’ balance that we hear so much about.
One thing that I knew I could turn my hand to was dance. After all, I have the perfect candidate (my very own toddler!) and the perfect background as a professional dancer and choreographer. I have been very lucky to have a career that I love over the past 20 years. My professional dance career has seen me travel the world on luxury cruise liners, perform in numerous pantomimes and summer seasons, dance in casino shows and on prime time television programmes. 
Working for ME
My question was, how could I utilise my skills and make things work for ME and my family? I turned to my trusty friend ‘Google’ and searched for children’s franchises available in my area. The Tappy Toes franchise immediately stood out to me with its bold, modern branding – something that I feel is so important in this day and age.
I immediately contacted Tappy Toes HQ and as the saying goes, the rest is history!
Training
We had a brilliant time training in the dance studio. Anyone walking by must have thought we were crazy! There were two other franchisees training with me, with Claire (The creator of Tappy Toes). The four of us singing the Hokey Cokey at the tops of our voices, with no children in sight, had the rest of the complex wondering what on earth was going on!

My journey with Tappy Toes is just beginning and I am so excited to start my new business in the Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Burton on Trent areas in October 2020.
