Toddler Dance Classes now in Hemel Hempstead, Chipperfield, Amersham and Chesham
Hello! I’m Megan Hammond, and I'll be bringing Tappy Toes baby, toddler and pre-school dance classes to Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas!
Growing up!
I was born in Hemel Hempstead and lived in Chesham until I was a year old. My family then moved to Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, which is where I grew up in my family home!
Since I could walk and talk I loved putting on performances and shows. I'd perform for my family with my sister and cousins. We would do our own versions of The Sound of Music, Grease and many more! Music was also a huge part of my upbringing – I always had Steps, Spice Girls and S Club 7 playing so loudly. I would sing at the top of my voice!
I have always had a huge passion for performing arts and dance! My favourite hobby has always been going to the theatre, I absolutely love it and my favourite show has to be Wicked! Growing up I was always doing after school clubs such as Stagecoach and Footlights and from an early age I joined Rise Studios in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, where I was a pupil for many years. I took classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street Jazz and Hip Hop! I also assisted the baby Ballet, Tap and Modern classes for 2 years whilst I attended the school and loved performing in all the summer shows!
Career
Later on in life after my school exams, I travelled around South East Asia on an incredible self-funded gap year. I visited countries including Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Bali. Travelling abroad is one of my other favourite things to do as I love exploring new countries and cultures!
Within the last few years I have had amazing opportunities working at two well-known large businesses within the Retail sector Since becoming Mummy to my amazing little girl, who has just turned 1, I felt as though I needed to have a better work/home life balance that really worked for me.
How I found Tappy Toes
One evening I sat down with a cuppa and was scrolling on my social media and came across a fantastic, fun, feel good post from Tappy Toes, all about becoming part of their team and their franchise business. I read word for word the franchise prospectus and just felt like it was a personal calling! I remember saying out loud “Hold on, this is my DREAM job, I HAVE to find out more!” and here I am!
I always wanted to fulfil my love for dance and I didn’t know when it would be. Finding Tappy Toes has just completed that passion for me. I am SO excited to be getting my dancing shoes back on. I'll be bringing classes to you and your little ones in Hemel Hempstead, Chipperfield and surrounding areas from November 2020!
We currently have classes available to book at Nash Mills Village Hall and Chipperfield Village Hall!
The here and now!
I have been living in Chipperfield for the last couple of years, with my partner, our little girl and our cuddly Labrador called Shelby!
I am so excited to start my classes in the local area and hopefully see so many of you there having LOADS of fun!
